It's Monday, and we're up for a busy week. New furnace, new roof, Energuide assessment to help us determine where insulation is most needed--all the big stuff. We're all looking forward to having the house more settled, and to moving onto more fun improvements such as painting. And of couse to just having our comfy home where we can sit by the window, drink tea, read a book (but first we must unpack both tea and books).

Cadence is doing well; grown out of all his newborn clothes & even many of the 3-6 month stuff is getting snug. His torso is apparently longer than average--NBA here he comes! He's sleeping as well as can be expected...we wake up about every 2 hours lately but it's generally just a few minutes to get him feeding and then we fall asleep again. There are of course exceptions, but that's how things are going lately.

Gramma and grampa were by yesterday for dinner/work...nice to have company, and to have help.

Drew's heading to Toronto later this week to tie up loose ends in the house, and I'll be heading to KL with Cadence & Tofu for a bit of a pseudo-vacation.

I'm now feeling ready to start doing something other than nurse and clean and read while nursing...starting to think about different possibilities for either volunteer or paid work. There are many opportunities for community involvememt here, including the local women's basketball league--am hoping that my old team will have me back!

Love the pictures! You guys look great and Cadence is so cute! Wish I could hold him and tickle him and eat his toes...

Much love, Miia

Also... Doesn't Cadencce look like the perfect mix of his parents? He's got Drew's forehead and eyes and Amanda's lips and smile. What fun.

How do Cadence and Tofu get along?

I absolutely adore that you two are reading this & commenting! Tofu is ding fantastic--likes to lick the baby's head & toes, and snuggles with me when there's an opportunity, but he seems to get that I've got my hands full & so he bugs Drew for playtime. We love our little Tofu!
