FredFest!!

An entire year has now gone by since the big move, and life is good. We commemorated the anniversary by attending the annual Freds Northern Picnic. Meredith came up to join us, which was fantastic--Cadence adores his Auntie Mer. It was Cadence's first time in a tent, and while the first night was successful we packed it in around 10pm on Saturday. He was wrangy (I think it's more to do with the transition from two naps to one that led to an over-tired yet awake baby more than it was the tent), and there was an abundance of yahoos camping nearby that would have kept us up anyways. Turned out to be a night of thunderstorms anyways, so it all worked out for the best.

Drew and Cadence sitting back & watching some of the Sunday afternoon music. This was really (how did this happen?) the only band that we actually sat & listened to, despite being there the whole weekend. Life with a wee one. :)

Fun times with Auntie Mer. Did I mention that he adores her?

Also fun times with the watermelon, which he adores almost (but not quite) as much as his Auntie Mer.

My mom & Mike came by on Saturday afternoon for a visit; of course we took a family picture at the campsite.

And Meredith delivered the rocking horse that Nana bought for Cadence. He's a bit small for it, but doesn't let that stop him--big smiles all round.

And yes, there's Amanda behind the drums (Drew's drums, actually!) waiting for our set to get started. My first music festival!

It was so so fun to be there to see & hear you perform Amanda! Hope it is just the beginning and that there are many more shows to come! You were great!

Love the pics!! I like the bucket on Drew's head in the first one. Cadence has changed so much since we saw him in July! He looks like a little boy now - no more baby! Looks like you had some decent weather - maybe a little cold? Glad not to see no bears crashing the festival.....
Hey Amanda - will there be a reunion of Cragmatic Pope?
Love Tracey

Okay re: my grammar in the previous comment "Glad not to see no bears crashing the festival..."
Have to admit I've been spending a little too much time watching the Trailer Park Boys and drinking since the kids went back to school....
