Otherwise all is well and fall is here. We went to the fall fair yesterday and Cadence was much more alert that last year (when he slept through pretty much everything). He seemed a little bored with the animals but did manage to identify both the cows and sheep, which he was also able to moo and bah along with. He did however manage to sleep through the entire 45 mins of live music in the hall at the fair, with his mamma playing drums. Oh well.
After his naps Cadence was often likely to snuggle up & fall asleep on Gramma. Towards the end of the trip he'd also started to snuggle up for a post-nap nap on grampa. So nice.
Oh! Cadence really started being able to stand up on his own today--he's done it a few times over the past couple of days but much more today. I think the first steps might not be too far away! Here he is standing, but of course hanging off my leg. A frequent place to find him these days.
Drew took Cadence over to our friends' farm a few weeks ago. Here Cadence is showing his affection for little Clayton's blanket bear.
Clayton's Gramma drives a school bus; there was no shortage of those to play with around the house.
From last weekend--Cadence ate nearly his whole breakfast on his own! This was the first time that I've actually trusted him with his own dish. He did very well. Didn't do quite as well with his lunch today, but Tofu didn't seem to mind :)
Cadence is increasingly interested in having whatever we're having at mealtime. Which includes coffee. So I've started to put his water in a coffee cup so he feels more included. I wonder how long that'll work for?
