We've made it through a week of weird teething unhappiness that seems to have ended with no new teeth in sight. The nurses at work tell me that they can do that--almost break through and then change their mind and recede, only to rear their ugliness again later. Ugh.

In any event, we have some new pictures. Life has been very busy, totally non-stop. But spring/summer has arrived, and as of last night so have the black flies. Ah well we've indoors all evening anyways.

Cadence is still pretty content just rolling about now & then, but generally he just sits happily on his mat. And after a wee bit of rolling he'll often declare he's had enough. This is what that might look like. Notice daddy's unfinished breakfast.


He does quite enjoy his walks every day, however. Often we'll stop at the swings (or here, with Drew at the park).


And every day's highlight is going downtown to check the mail.


Enjoying the sunshine on the fun toy that Drew found in the street the other day. (found as in "one man's garbage, another man's gold," not found as in "no one's looking...cover me.")


Last Saturday our friend Kelly and her little guy Clayton came over, and we went for a walk. Here Clayton shows Cadence how to crawl.


And they played well together with the toy that C's Uncle Brian, Aunt Tracey, & cousins Hallie & Emillie brought him last summer. Cadence is looking pretty intent on moving those beads around. Clayton was totally enraptured by Tofu, so didn't pay much attention to anything else when he was here.
